All the Old Knives
Concept
All the old Knives is an American spy thriller written by Olen Steinhauer and based on the 2015 novel. The film stars Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Pryce and David Dawson.
Challenge
Graymatter were asked to provide the control and programming alongside their sister company IMAG to deliver a high resolution HDR 24m x 5.5m curved LED screen to play pre-recorded footage of a Californian beach vista.
Solution
Graymatter provided all video HDR playback, screen control, programming and onsite delivery. Filmed at Gillette Studios in London, the studio roof could not support the massive LED volume, Working with LED Display specialists – IMAG Displays – the team had to provide, design and install an innovative curved ground support system that followed the restaurant glass frontage.
